I’ve decided that CNN.com is completely worthless
Current featured article is about a potential serial killer in SC. For the past week it has been MJ stories. No Palin, McNamara, etc.

To be fair, you’re only talking about the single top story. Those stories are all in the list on the right next to the MJ feature. CNN.com does have a lot of crap, especially videos designed solely to boost pageviews, but it’s by far the best of the news outlets.
Anyway, an easy fix is to just bookmark http://edition.cnn.com instead of the US site, which is what I do. That’s the international CNN address. Right now, it’s featuring Obama in Russia while the US site is all about MJ.
Sadly, I still disagree. Here’s a look at the current CNN Internation site vs BBC. At this point, you could make the argument that MJ’s death is so important historically that it is *actual* news. Call me prude, but I still don’t want to spend more than a single brainwave considering that posibility… taking into account that it happened 12 days ago! CNN is still awful as a news outlet. Their slogan should be a “the biggest source of fluff/revenue generating information masquerading as news in the world.”
